About me…
My name is Laurent, born and raised in Paris, and currently living in Brussels, Belgium, after 10 years near Lausanne, Switzerland. I’m here to share thoughts and experiences around photography, as well as my photographs, of course.
Photography as a wonderful way to have fun and create, but also to enjoy life, see it from a different angle, and sometimes even heal. Over the years, I have come to believe that the whole process of taking a picture is just as important as the image itself.
My photographic journey started during my teens, with a minolta and some Kodak rolls, before coming to a halt due to life circumstances. As my life changed direction and I took a different path, the call of the shutter came back stronger than ever. Today, photography has become a big part of my life and i enjoy it more and more each day.

About this site…
You’ ll find posts about anything and everything that relates – sometimes closely, sometimes not so much – to photography, along with a few reviews (considering the gazillion gear reviews available on the internet, i’m concentrating on stuff I bought, use and enjoy.
Like many of us, I’ve been through the GAS process and am doing my best to let it behind me, or at least to mitigate the best I can.
I’m not saying that gear and tech are not important. They are, and I do enjoy this aspect of photography. It is essential to understand the way things work to use them efficiently.
But at the end of the day, Photography is mostly art, not rocket launching…
This is why you won’t find any mtf charts, complete specs list, wall pics, and I think it is absurd to pixel peep to check the sharpness in the top far right corner of an image shot at f 1.4.
Again, thank you for visiting, and please feel free to contact me for any reason you may have.
