012 – Cold water abstractions

Water is one of my favorite elements. I particularly like the fact that it can have so many forms and colors.
Don’t be fooled by its smoothness though, it can be ruthless and tear metal apart when using the superpower called ice. It is so patient and focused it can carve rocks and stones.
Friend or foe, it is responsible for spectacular scenes, on large or small scales. Water is a bottomless pit of photo opportunity.
I enjoy very much standing in a cold river in winter, watching the show (and frantically trying to dry my lens). Fortunately the hot and infused water we call coffee is always right there in my backpack.
Here are some abstract images I chose for this first post about water. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
The eternal fight of ice to survive…

Smooth as water, or solid as a rock? The confrontation can be violent…

Thanks for reading through.
